Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,

My name is Karrie Kuecker and I have been a student worker
at The LINGUIST List since September 2010. I'd like to take
this opportunity to thank all of you for supporting The LINGUIST
List; this wonderful opportunity would not be possible if not
for the donations our subscribers. Please donate to this year's
Fund Drive to keep the organization thriving:

https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm

Currently, I am a member of the LL-MAP team, which digitizes
linguistic maps, and displays them in the on-line map viewer
(http://llmap.org). Through this work, I am learning the
importance of translating data of researchers and field linguists
in a way that is accessible to the greater community. In
addition to my work on the LL-MAP team, I also maintain the Web
Resources and Ask-A-Linguist areas of the LINGUIST List site.
These opportunities have helped me utilize the skills acquired
in my undergraduate study of Scientific and Technical Communications,
and my current Master's program study in linguistics.

The LINGUIST List is a non-profit organization, striving to
provide you with access to free content, pertinent to the field.
If you have ever found yourself consulting LINGUIST List for
research, to find a conference or job, or utilize any of the
other services we provide, please consider donating to The
LINGUIST List today, by following the link below:

Thank you very much for this wonderful and exciting opportunity,
and for your continuing support.

Best regards,

Karrie Kuecker
Student Editor
The LINGUIST List

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as
such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered
501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax return
(U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact
your financial advisor.

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple
administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if your company
operates such a program.

Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
