Meeting Description:

CINEO2011 is addressed to researchers, students, public and private institutions and people interested in lexical creation and in the development of the lexicon of the Romance languages. The changes that occur in social groups are reflected in the lexicon of all languages and these languages need to create new words in order to name scientific, artistic, economic and social facts that affect a language in a given moment of its history.

The vitality of the Romance languages will be specially discussed in this Congress.

Second and last call for abstract submission: 15-June-2011

Contributions (in Catalan, French, Galician, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Romanian) to the central questions are welcome.

Proposals for papers and posters on a theme of the Congress, in any Romance language, should be sent before June 15, 2011. Presentations are set at 20 minutes. They will be followed by 10 minutes of debate. Presentations as posters will have a specific space for exhibition and public debate.

Abstracts should be between 250 and 300 words (between 1700 and 2000 characters, including spaces) and must be submitted electronically via the submission form for abstracts on our website.

All papers will be evaluated by three members of the scientific committee. The result of the evaluation will be communicated to the authors during the month of July 2011. Authors whose papers or posters will receive a positive evaluation should make their Conference registration.
