Meeting Description:

The Research Center for Communication and Culture at the Catholic University of Portugal is currently planning a conference on 'Thinking Colors: Perception, Translation and Representation', to be held on March 29-31, 2012 in Lisbon (http://thinkingcolors.blogspot.com/). This event aims a multidisciplinary approach to the phenomenon of color perception, from its neurophysiological underpinnings to the symbolization of colors and their shared representations in language and culture.

Fees: 

Speakers - 30 Euros
Participants - 45 Euros
Late registrations (after January 31) - 60 Euros

The registration fee includes lunch, coffee breaks on the two days of the conference and conference documentation.

Call for Papers:

Speakers should be prepared for a 20-minute presentation followed by questions. Please send a 250-word abstract, as well as a brief biographical note (100 words) to thinkingcolors2012 at gmail.com by 15 December, 2011. Proposals should list paper title, name, institutional affiliation, and contact details. Notification of abstract acceptance or rejection can be expected by January 15, 2012.

The conference language is English.
