10th International Conference 'Latin Vulgaire - Latin Tardif'
Bergamo, 5-9 September 2012

After Lyon (2009), Oxford (2006), Sevilla (2003), Helsinki (2000), Heidelberg (1997), Caen (1994), Innsbruck (1991), Bologna (1988), Pécs (1985), the 10th International Conference on Latin Vulgaire - Latin Tardif (LVLT 10) will take place at the University of Bergamo, Italy, from Wednesday 5 September to Sunday 9 September 2012 (next year).

The academic organizer of this conference will be Professor Piera Molinelli (Dipartimento di Scienze dei Linguaggi, della Comunicazione e degli Studi Culturali, Università di Bergamo); the local organizers will be Piera Molinelli (coordinator), Giuliano Bernini, Pierluigi Cuzzolin, Federica Guerini, and Francesco Lo Monaco.

Six keynote speakers have been invited: Frédérique Biville (Lyon), Heiner Böhmer (Dresden), Gualtiero Calboli (Bologna), Gerd Haverling (Uppsala), Marco Mancini (Viterbo) and Daniela Urbanová (Brno).

As in the previous meetings, this conference will be held under the patronage of the Comité international pour l'étude du latin vulgaire et tardif:

Call for Papers:

If you are interested in contributing with a presentation, please submit an abstract no longer than 30 lines by 15 January 2012 to the following email address:

lvlt10 at unibg.it

The local organizing committee will rate the abstract submitted and send out a response on them by the end of February.

Proposals will be discarded if they go beyond the chronological limit of the 10th century CE.

The abstracts should contain:

Name and surname of the author(s)
Title of the contribution
Affiliation and country

There will be presentations of 30 minutes (20 for presentation + 10 for discussion), arranged in parallel sessions. The conference languages are English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
