Description:

The School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at 
Dallas seeks candidates in the area of bilingual communication processes, 
development or disorders for a full-time (9 month) tenure-track or tenured 
position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to begin Fall 
2012. Responsibilities include research, teaching, service and directing 
student research. Applicants should hold a doctorate in a relevant field (e.g., 
communication sciences and disorders, linguistics, psychology).

Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor rank are expected to have a 
strong record of extramural funding; at the Assistant Professor rank 
applicants are expected to have initiated a fundable program of research. A 
competitive salary with an excellent start-up package is available. 

The School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences provides a strong 
interdisciplinary scholarly environment with Ph.D. programs in Cognition and 
Neuroscience, Psychological Sciences, and Communication Sciences and 
Disorders, as well as a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees in 
these three broad areas. The UT-Dallas Callier Center for Communication 
Disorders is one of the top-rated speech and hearing programs in the country. 
The Dallas Independent School District student population is predominantly 
Hispanic (67%), exceeding the statewide Hispanic population average of 48% 
and the national average of approximately 20%.
