Description:

The English Department and the Linguistics Program at The College of William 
and Mary invite applications for one or possibly two tenure-track appointments 
expected to begin August 2012 in one or more of the following areas: syntax, 
syntax/semantics, morphology, phonology, typology, field linguistics. 
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and teaching experience in 
more than one of these areas. Candidates must have the PhD in hand by the 
time of appointment and demonstrate excellence in research and undergraduate 
teaching, as well as an interest in fostering undergraduate research. We expect 
one of the positions to be filled at the level of advanced assistant professor, 
requiring the successful candidate to have three years of full-time teaching 
experience and a record of publication.

by a detailed curriculum vitae, a teaching statement, a research statement, and
