Meeting Description:

The 38th Incontro di Grammatica Generativa (generative grammar meeting) aims at all the researchers who are currently working on any formal subfield of linguistics. The goal of the conference is to bring together international and Italian scholars and to create a meeting point for discussion and update on the state of the art of research.

The invited speakers for the conference are:

Sergey Avrutin (University of Utrecht), Andrew Nevins (University College London)

Scientific Committee: Birgit Alber, Denis Delfitto, Gaetano Fiorin, Chiara Melloni, Andrea Padovan, Stefan Rabanus

Organizing Committee: Marta Castella, Luca Ducceschi, Karin Martin, Maria Scappini, Jacopo Torregrossa 

Call for Papers:

Submissions are invited for papers in any field related to the formal study of language. Authors are asked to submit their abstracts as PDF file to the following address (please indicate your preference for the poster or oral presentation using the appropriate button on the page):

The abstract should include the title and three keywords/phrases that best describe the content of the abstract. Submissions should be anonymous and not reveal the identity of the author(s) in any form (e.g., references, file name of the abstract). 

Abstracts should be no longer than two pages (including examples and references), in 12-point type, Times font, single line spacing, and 2,5 cm. margins (we strongly suggest to use the template available at http://fermi.univr.it/live/igg38/call.html).

Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract per author, or two joint abstracts per author.

Talks will be 30 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion and there will be three poster sessions. 

Admission is free.

The official languages of the conference will be Italian and English.

Notification of acceptance will be no later than January 16, 2012.
