We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at
http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.cfm.

We cordially invite you to participate in an online study on problem
solving, conducted as part of a collaborative research project involving
the intersection of cognitive science and linguistics at the Universities
of Bremen and Bamberg (Germany). Participants are taken through
example problems and are then asked to solve another problem by
themselves. The problems are easy to understand and entertaining to
solve.

The completion of the task will take approximately 30 minutes.
Participants should be (i.e., consider themselves) native speakers of
English. Since we do not wish to influence participants by describing
what we wish to study before anyone performs the task, any questions
(for example about the linguistic component of the task) should be sent
directly to<gralla at uni-bremen.de>.

Participation is entirely anonymous; a small number of demographic
questions support the interpretation and assessment of general validity
of the collected data.

Thank you in advance - we very much appreciate the time and effort
you invest in supporting us!
