Meeting Description:

In collaboration with Northumbria University, Newcastle University will host the 7th Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Post Graduate Conference in Linguistics on Monday, 26 March 2012 in the Research Beehive, Newcastle University. 

This one-day conference is designed to give linguistics postgraduates from all research areas an opportunity to present and discuss their research in an informal and intellectually stimulating setting. 

Call for Papers:

Postgraduate students are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any area of linguistics.

Presenters will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. There will be a dedicated poster session on the day of the conference. Speakers will also be invited to submit their paper for publication in the Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics. Presentations on any area of linguistics are welcome including linguistics, education, historical linguistics, language acquisition, computational linguistics, etc. 

Abstract should be no more than 1 A4 page in length in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. 

Abstracts should be sent to pgconfling at ncl.ac.uk.
