Abstract:

Die Santrokofisprache wird nur noch in drei Ortschaften mit zusammen kaum 
1500 Einwohnern gesprochen. Die Santrokofier oder, wie sie sich selbst nennen, 
die Bale, kamen aus verschiedenen Gegenden von Boem, wo heute noch 
Santrokofi verstanden wird. Dem Wortschatz nach steht die Santrokofisprache 
wohl dem Twi und dem Ga näher als dem Ewe, von dem es jetzt langsam 
aufgelöst wird. Dagegen gehört es seiner Grammatik nach ganz zu den sog. 
Bantoiden Sprachen, die sich ausschließlich der Substantivpräfixe bedienen, 
wie z.B. Avatime, Nyango-Tafi. Inhalt: Laute, Wortarten, Texte, 
Wörterverzeichnis. (Re-edition; originally pub-lished 1911 in Berlin; written in 
German).
