Meeting Description: 

The deliberations in the Seminar will focus on various theoretical issues of Linguistics with special emphasis on Language Contact in tribal linguistic context where several tribal languages are in constant contact. The modern methods of language documentation of the lesser known languages would also become among the themes of the Seminar. Field Linguistics which gives the backup of language documentation and tribal language study will be focused in one of the technical sessions. The use of modern language technology tools will form the component in one of the sessions. The Sociolinguistic aspects in the tribal language situation will be explored in this Seminar.
