4th International Conference on Samoyedology
Hamburg, Germany
3-5 October, 2012

The conference topics include, but are not limited to:

- Synchronic and diachronic research on all grammatical levels concerning Samoyedic languages;
- Problems of bi-/multilingualism and language policy regarding the Samoyedic languages;
- Research on contact linguistics, areality and/or typology including one or several Samoyedic languages.

Different round table discussions shall deal with certain aspects of Samoyedic studies:

- The history of the Samoyedic languages and of Samoyedic studies? This round table discussion is devoted to the memory of E. A. Helimski;
- Documenting and archiving Samoyedic languages? Achievements, tasks and open questions;
- Results and perspectives of the lexicography of the Uralic languages. 

Call for Papers:

Abstract Requirements:

Abstracts of up to 6.000 characters (with spaces) including examples and references, in one of the working languages of the Conference, are to be submitted until March 1, 2012 to the Organizing Committee at samoyedology-conference at uni-hamburg.de. The text of the abstract should be submitted as an attachment following these guidelines:

- Attach two files (RTF and PDF) named by the author's last name.
- Page size: A4
- Format of the body of the text and the list of references: Font Times New Roman size 12, line spacing: 1.5, paragraph alignment: fully justified, indentation of the first line of a paragraph: 1.0 cm, margins: 2.0 cm each.
