Dear LinguistList subscribers and fellow linguists, 

I'm currently conducting research into the under-documented Narrow-Bantu
language Bembe (also known as Ki-bembe, D54; language code: bmb). I would
be grateful about anyone with knowledge of or access to Bembe native
speakers (preferably in the UK) and about passing this message on. 

The UNESCO categorises Bembe as a definitely endangered language and,
unfortunately, there is not a lot of information to be found on the
internet or in more specific databases on the language itself. I also
appreciate anyone who can provide me with information about Bembe which is
not directly retrievable from the internet or even point me to any
(published) literature I'm not aware of. I promise to post a summary of the
responses.
