Meeting Description:

We are pleased to inform you that the University of Applied Science & Technology, Culture & Art (1) in Khorasan Razavi, Iran, is going to hold the first 'Interdisciplinary Conference on Art, Language & Technology' (ICALT2012), July 2012. ICALT2012 will be an opportunity for researchers, professors and students who wish to present their papers in an interdisciplinary conference. The main goal of the conference is to promote collaboration in Arts, Language & Technology. 

Call for Papers:

Topics:

The scope of the conference includes the following topics, but not limited to:

1. Art teaching & learning: challenges & innovations
2. Methodology of art teaching
3. Applications of technology in art teaching
4. English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
5. Applications of art in language teaching & learning
6. Applications of technology in language teaching
7. Methodology of language teaching
8. Translation of artistic texts and jargon 
9. Film translation
10. Etc.

Important Dates:

Abstract submission deadline: April 17, 2012 (Khordad 29)
Notification of acceptance/rejection: May 4, 2012 (Ordibehesht 15)
Final paper submission deadline: August 22, 2012 (Shahrivar 1)

There will be three presentation modalities: Oral and poster presentations (in-person) and virtual (for those who cannot attend in person). All abstracts will be blind reviewed. Authors of those selected for presentation at the conference will be notified via email. The official languages of the conference are Persian (Farsi) and English. Two ISBN books will be published with all the accepted abstracts and selected full papers. Selected full-length papers will be published in an edited volume after the conference.

Keynote Speakers, Program Committee, and the exact Conference Date will be announced later.
