The Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University invites 
applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Computational 
Phonology, for the 2012/2013 academic year. We seek candidates 
whose research addresses phonological theory, computational 
linguistics, and the application of computational methods to testing 
phonological hypotheses.  

The responsibilities of the position include teaching a 2 - 3 load, with 
courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. The 
successful candidate will be able to teach introductory courses in 
computational methods and in phonology, as well as advanced 
courses in her or his areas of specialization.

The appointment will start on August 1, 2012. Applicants must have 
completed all requirements for the PhD degree by the time of the
