The Journal of Modern Languages (JML) is a peer-reviewed journal published by
the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Malaya. Founded
in 1985 at the University of Malaya, the JML is dedicated to the publication of
significant research findings of an empirical, experimental or conceptual nature
in the broad field of modern language studies.
The Journal produces one regular issue plus a special issue annually. Special
issues address linguistic themes relevant to South East Asia and the Pacific
Rim, especially the languages of the region. The language of publication is
normally English, but we may accept contributions in Malay for special issues.
The JML welcomes papers addressing critical analyses of modern languages
from various fields of discipline.
Please visit JML's website at http://jml.um.edu.my for more information.
