Meeting Description:

The conference aims to look into global and local issues of understanding diversity particularly in relation to linguistics, literature and culture.

Diversity encompasses differences among individuals and groups -culture, experience, ethnicity, gender, location, ideology and belief. Recognising diversity not only involves how people perceive themselves, but also how they perceive others. In order to accept the differences and to embrace diversity in the mosaic of linguistics, literature and culture, awareness of these patterns is crucial.

The upcoming conference aims to look into global and local issues of understanding diversity particularly in relation to linguistics, literature and culture. In addressing linguistic, literary and cultural differences and diversity, this conference hopes to be the platform for researchers, academics and members of the public to share knowledge and to engage in discourse. The resulting synergistic contributions, in effect, will be reflective of and harmonious with the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives related to linguistics, literature and culture.

Objectives:

- To examine the impacts of differences and/or diversity on languages, literatures and cultures
