Meeting Description:

The Manchester and Salford New Researchers Forum in Linguistics (FiL) is an annual event which aims to bring together new researchers including postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers and early career researchers to present current work, results and problems from any field of linguistics. The event includes the presentation of papers, posters, a careers panel and plenary talks, as well as a dinner and drinks. The FiL will take place at the University of Manchester from 2-3 November 2012.

We are delighted to welcome new lecturers and emerging researchers to share their research and experience of work in academia.

Final Call for Papers: 

Submissions for oral and poster presentations in all areas of linguistics are welcomed. Presentations should be no more than 20 minutes in length with 10 additional minutes allocated for questions, comments and discussion. Please note that preference will be given to abstracts which contain implications for linguistic theory.

Submission of Abstracts: 

Abstracts should be no more than one page of A4 in length, 12pt, excluding references. The deadline for receipt of all abstracts is 31 August 2012. Please follow instructions on the LINGUIST List EasyAbstracts submission site for the Manchester and Salford New Researchers Forum in Linguistics:
