Description:

The Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies invites
applications for 4 full-time postdoctoral positions. The positions begin 1.
November 2012, and are limited to a fixed 2.5 year term. They are
remunerated according to TV-L Salary Scale E13.
 
The postdoctoral researchers will contribute to the academic program of the
new Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies, which is
organized jointly by the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the
University of Regensburg. The Graduate School for East and Southeast
European Studies is 
funded by Germany's Excellence Initiative. Research at the Graduate School
will be conducted under three broad, interdisciplinary fields:  Origins and
forms of social and political change; Cultural systems; and Infrastructure,
migration and transfer of knowledge. The Graduate School will also pay
particular attention to the entanglements of East and Southeastern Europe
with other parts of the globe. For more information see:

The announced postdoctoral positions will be assigned to the following
disciplines:
Jewish History (LMU Munich)
Arts History/Theatre Studies (LMU Munich)
Economic and Social History (University of Regensburg)
Slavic Studies (University of Regensburg)
 
Requirements:
-Excellent PhD in one of the above mentioned or neighboring 
disciplines
-Research experience on East and Southeastern Europe
-Development of an innovative postdoctoral project
-Readiness to undertake interdisciplinary cooperation
-Ability to work as a part of a team
