Description:

The Northwestern University Roxelyn and Richard Pepper 
Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is searching 
for a tenure-track faculty member, at the rank of Assistant or 
Associate Professor, with a promising or established research 
program focused on disorders of speech, language and/or literacy. 
Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, disorders of 
articulation/phonology, fluency, voice, language development, and 
reading/writing. This nine-month tenure-track position is based on 
the Evanston campus. 

Preferred starting date: September 1, 2013.,

Duties: 
-  Develop an externally fundable program of research
-  Teach courses in communication disorders
-  Direct student research
-  Provide academic advising

Qualifications:  
-  Earned PhD required in Communication Sciences and Disorders, 
Speech Language Pathology, Psychology, Linguistics, Education, 
Cognitive Science, Neuroscience or related field. 
-  Evidence required of potential to maintain a high-impact, externally 
funded research program. 
-  Clinical certification preferred, with interests and experience 
commensurate with teaching courses in the Department's Speech, 
Language and Learning MS program required.  

Salary: 
Internationally competitive, depending on qualifications and 
experience.
