Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce the Learner Corpus Studies in Asia and the World 2013 (LCSAW2013) to be held from 23 March to 24 March 2013 at Kobe, Japan. 

This is an international symposium to commemorate the completion of the International Corpus Network of Asian Learners of English (ICNALE) Project. 

The ICNALE, a one-million-words corpus covering 11 countries and areas in Asia, is expected to promote learner corpus studies in the region.

Our symposium focuses on learner corpus (LC) studies from varied perspectives including but not limited to:

Design and Development of LC / Vocabulary and Grammar Seen in LC / LC and Education / LC and Analysis of Students' Writing / LC and Studies of Word Englishes / LC and Contrastive Analysis of Asian Learners of English

Invited Speakers:

Dr. Sylviane Granger (Belgium)
Dr. Andy Kirkpatrick (Australia)
Dr. Vincent Ooi (Singapore)
Dr. Yukio Tono (Japan) 

Call for Papers:

Although submissions of the papers based on or related to the ICNALE will be particularly welcomed, we are happy to consider other submissions concerning the conference themes above. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and some of them will be considered for inclusion in the book.

The LCSAW2013 Organizing Committee cordially invites potential participants to send in a 150-200 word abstract as well as your personal information via online form no later than October 15, 2012.

All papers are allotted 20 minutes for presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion.
