ALA is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal which publishes research articles, 
review articles and technical articles on the subjects of Asian linguistics, 
translation studies and the teaching of Asian languages, book reviews on 
representative works on the same subjects and reports from outstanding 
events. ALA encourages the interlinking of different linguistic disciplines, 
fosters dialogue among different theoretical orientations and their practical 
application, proposes new approaches to existing research themes, draws 
attention to relevant questions, informs about recent findings and events in 
the above areas.

ALA is published three times a year. Articles in each first and second issue 
are written only in English with an English and a Slovene abstract, while 
articles in each third issue can also be written in Slovene with a Slovene and 
an English abstract.

Acta Linguistica Asiatica is listed in COBISS.si, dLib.si, DOAJ, OpenJ-Gate, 
Google Scholar and MLA Directory of Periodicals.

Authors wishing to participate should submit the article online on the following 
site:

We accept original research papers on any topic related to the above content 
description of the journal ALA. Articles received by 20-February-2012 will be 
considered for publication in Vol.2, No.1 (May 2012).

General guidelines for submission: 
1. The articles should be written in English and include an abstract and five 
keywords
2. Recommended length is 4000-5000 words
3. The references and in-text citations should be in accordance with the APA 
style (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/10/)
4. Authors are responsible for the English editing of the articles
5. We accept on-line submissions only

The authors are invited to contact mateja.petrovcic at ff.uni-lj.si in advance to 
express their interest in submission with an extended abstract (up to 500 
words).
