The Montreal Gazette reports that researchers at Simon Fraser University have 
sent out a "call for text messages". They have set up a site where you can find 
information about donating texts. They are looking to find evidence for their 
hypothesis that "people who use [text message] short-cuts and abbreviations 
aren't just lazy". Instead, "They are being very creative and efficient at 
communicating, using novel forms of communications."
