Meeting Description:

28th Annual Meeting
Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics
Dates: October 16-17 (Tuesday/Wednesday), 2012
Tel-Aviv University, Israel
Conference website: http://linguistics.huji.ac.il/IATL/28/

IATL 28, 28th Annual Meeting Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics, will be held at Tel-Aviv University on October 16-17, 2012. We are interested in research which tests theories of language in general, including traditional areas of theoretical linguistics and also experimental areas such as psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, sociolinguistics, and language acquisition.

Call for Papers:

Submissions are invited for papers presenting previously unpublished research in all areas of theoretical linguistics.

Special Session: Language Acquisition

The study of language acquisition is of major importance for generative linguistics. We invite papers addressing the role of universal principles/parameters in language acquisition, with reference to all the domains of linguistics, in typically and atypically developing children.

Proceedings:

IATL publishes its proceedings online and in MITWPL; the authors of all accepted and alternate papers are expected to submit their papers for the proceedings.

Submission:

Abstracts should be no longer than two pages, including examples and references. Page format: A4, 2,54 cm (one inch) margins on all sides, 12-point font, single line spacing.

Submissions are restricted to one single-authored and one co-authored abstract at most. Specify whether the abstract is for the general session or the special session.

Please submit abstracts via our on-line submission site at:

https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iatl28

Register at the site as an author, and when you receive a password, you can enter the site and submit your abstract. The abstract should be submitted in PDF format through the 'Upload Paper' section near the bottom of the page. (Note: Higher up on the page, in the 'Title and Abstract' section, there is a box for a plain-text abstract. Since we do not require a shorter abstract, you may simply retype the title of the paper in the abstract box.)

Important Dates:

May 20, 2012: Abstract submission deadline. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.
Mid-August, 2012: Notification of acceptance to authors
October 16-17, 2012: IATL 28 conference
