The proposed Symposium on the above theme will be held at King Saud University (KSU), Saudi Arabia from April 23-25, 2013 which aims to highlight the latest research in the field of computers and information technology for PwSN such as hearing, sight and other sensory impairments, motor impairments, memory, learning and cognitive impairments and individuals with multiple impairments.

The Symposium themes and topics include, but are not limited to:

- E-Accessibility
- Aging and Gerontechnology
- Assistive Technology
- Augmented and Alternative Communication
- Design for All
- E-Services such as E-Government, E-Health, E-Learning, for helping people with special needs
- HCI and Non Classical Interfaces
- Usability and Ergonomics
- User centered Design, User Involvement
- Handicap Computer Accessories for the Disabled
- Labor Market Integration
- Social Innovation and E-Service Delivery
- Tertiary Education for special needs students
- Successful inclusion at various educational levels
- Assessment and early intervention
- PwSN Gifted students
- Curriculum adaptation/modification for special needs from kindergarten through college level
- Parents support services
- Study skills development
- Enhancement of employment services provided to students with special needs
- Coordination between various educational institutions to allow for a smooth transition to tertiary education
- Preparation of special needs students for a smooth transition
- Special Sessions in the Symposium for participants for undergraduate and graduate students 

Call for Papers:

The Symposium aims to build a group of researchers who have interest in the technologies for people with special needs and encourage researchers to participate in this symposium by submitting their ideas and the inventions to help people with special needs and encourage them to follow the research direction in the future. 

The symposium will offer special sessions for graduate and undergraduate students to present their projects and thesis in order to demonstrate the results and exchange the experience in this direction. The symposium would like to ask all supervisors to inform their distinguished students (either graduate or undergraduate) to submit a summary of their work in at most 6 pages in either Arabic or English provided that the participant is studying at the kingdom universities

The selected papers after complete modification and revision will be considered for possible publication in the CCIS Journal.
