Across Borders V International Conference on Culture, Language and Literature
Sárospatak, Hungary, 12-14 October 2012
Organised by Krosno State College and Comenius College of Miskolc University

The conference aims at investigating aspects of culture, language and literature in the context of a world made more mobile than ever before. Intercultural encounters accompanying the movement of individuals and groups receive a variety of expressions and call for a debate in an interdisciplinary context.

Plenary Speakers:

Prof. Elżbieta Mańczak-Wohlfeld, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland
Prof. Terence McCarthy, University of Burgundy, Dijon, France

Transportation:

Organisers will arrange return bus transportation for participants travelling from Krosno (200 km) and Kraków (350 km). The buses will leave on Friday 12 October at 6 am from Kraków and at 7 am from Krosno. Return arrival in Krosno and Kraków is planned for Sunday late evening. 

Conference Fees: 

290 PLN without transportation 
440 PLN with return transportation between Krosno and Sárospatak 
490 PLN with return transportation between Kraków and Sárospatak 
Doctoral students will be granted a reduction of 100 PLN on the applicable fee. 

The conference fee covers: Conference materials, refreshments during sessions, conference banquet in a Hungarian wine cellar on Saturday night, a bus tour of the Tokay region on Saturday afternoon, a visit to a hot springs pool in Sárospatak on Friday evening, publication of selected papers. All fees must be transferred to the bank account of Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa in Krosno (Krosno State College) by 15 September 2012.

Participants are advised to make their own hotel booking. All hotels below are within walking distance from the conference venue, Comenius Főiskola, 3950 Sárospatak, Eötvös utca 7.
