Meeting Description:

The 24th ROCLING Conference (ROCLING 2012), which will be held on Sep. 21 to 22, 2012 at South Garden in Chung-Li, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Sponsored by Association for Computational Linguistics and Chinese Language Processing (ACLCLP), ROCLING is the most historied and comprehensive conference focused on computational linguistics, speech processing, and related areas in Taiwan. ROCLING 2012 will be co-hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Information Management, Yuan Ze University. With two days of main conference sessions, a full complement of invited talks, and a growing list of co-located workshops, this is an event you will not want to miss. 

Call for Papers:

ROCLING 2012 invites submissions of original and unpublished research papers on all areas of computational linguistics, natural language processing, and speech processing, including, but not limited to, the following topic areas.

Discourse/dialogue modeling 
Semantics/pragmatics
Information extraction/text mining 
Speech analysis/synthesis

Syntax/parsing

Manuscripts written in either English or Chinese are welcome. We expect authors to submit full papers (not just abstracts) to review for the conference. The abstract itself should be about 200 words. A template for the submitted papers will be provided on the conference website soon. Papers should be submitted online.

Paper Publications:

Submissions will be reviewed by at least two experts on the basis of originality, significance, technical soundness, and relevance to the conference. Accepted papers will be presented orally or as poster presentations. Both oral and poster presentations will be published in the ROCLING 2012 conference proceedings and included in the ACL Anthology. A number of papers will be selected as Journal versions and invited for extension and publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Computational Linguistics and Chinese Language Processing (IJCLCLP).

Camera-ready due: September 2, 2012
