Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,

I began working at LINGUIST List in the fall of 2009. This
is my final semester here, as I graduate this spring, and
I can't tell you how lucky I feel to have had the
opportunity to work for such a great organization. Please
help us continue to provide resources to the linguistic
community by donating here:

http://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm

Before I started working here, I knew that LINGUIST List
compiled information about jobs, conferences, books, and so
on for members of the linguistic community, but I had no
idea how much else they do! This organization is truly
committed to contributing to the academic field as a whole
via amazing research projects like Multi-Tree, LL-Map, and
EMELD. If you haven't seen what great resources these are,
please visit the sites below - I wish I had known about
them sooner!

If you can donate even $5 to help support the LINGUIST List,
please do so here

http://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm.

Every dollar helps us to maintain the listserv, providing
up-to-date information to the linguistic community, as well
as to continue all of our research geared towards making
language data and linguistic tools freely available on the
web.

I would like to thank Helen Aristar-Dry and Anthony Aristar
for giving me this incredible opportunity, the entire
LINGUIST List crew for making me feel like a part of this
family, and YOU for making all that we do possible.

Remember, any amount helps. Please donate $5 (or more!)
here:

I can't tell you how much your support means!

Christy Bird

There are many ways to donate to LINGUIST!

You can donate right now using our secure credit card form at
https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm

Alternatively you can also pledge right now and pay later. To do so, go to:
https://linguistlist.org/donation/pledge/pledge1.cfm

For all information on donating and pledging, including information on how to
donate by check, money order, or wire transfer, please visit:

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as
such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered
501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax
return (U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site,
or contact your financial advisor.

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a
simple administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to
LINGUIST, without costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if
your company operates such a program.

Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
