Meeting Description:

The 128th MLA Annual Convention will take place in Boston from 3 to 6 January 2013. Over 2,000 members give papers and readings each year at the convention. Founded in 1883, the Modern Language Association of America provides opportunities for its members to share their scholarly findings and teaching experiences with colleagues and to discuss trends in the academy. MLA members host an annual convention and other meetings, work with related organizations, and sustain one of the finest publishing programs in the humanities. For over a hundred years, members have worked to strengthen the study and teaching of language and literature.

The Modern Language Association Discussion Group in Germanic Philology invites submissions for 20-minute papers to be given at our session (Topics in Germanic Linguistics and Philology) during the 2013 Annual Convention of the Modern Language Association (MLA). The aim of this meeting is to bring together a group of scholars who have diverse research interests in the field. We therefore welcome papers addressing any aspect of Germanic Linguistics and/or Philology, including English up to 1500.

Please submit your 250-word proposal by March 12, 2012 to Ilona Vandergriff (vdgriff at sfsu.edu).
