Meeting Description:

The University of Bergamo will be hosting the 5th International Conference on Late Modern English from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 August 2013. This follows on from four very successful conferences on Late Modern English (Edinburgh, 2001; Vigo, 2004; Leiden, 2007; and Sheffield, 2010). 

Call for Papers:

The theme of the 2013 conference will be 'Transatlantic Perspectives on Late Modern English'. We are therefore particularly interested in papers which take an innovative approach to studies of LModE in and beyond Europe, varieties of LModE outside Britain, etc. Proposals for round tables, workshops and/or software demonstrations are welcome; an e-poster session will also be possible.

We are accepting abstracts of max 500 words, excluding references, in pdf, doc, or txt format. Abstracts should be submitted through the following site:
