Description:

A postdoctoral position is available for a researcher to participate in ongoing 
projects on bilingualism, multilingualism and language contact in Singapore. The 
ongoing projects include studies on Language Variation, Language and Identity, 
Language and the Elderly, Language Maintenance and Shift. These projects are 
based in Singapore and its geographical region. The successful applicant is 
expected to work on one or more of the projects listed above.

This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to 
tap into the School of Humanities and Social Sciences's multidisciplinary 
research strengths, to work in a multilingual and multicultural environment and to 
be part of a dynamic research team.

Candidates will need a PhD in linguistics, preferably with a specialization in 
sociolinguistics, and previous experience of undertaking research based on 
linguistic and survey data. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability 
to manage large data sets and able carry out quantitative data analysis.
