Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,

You voted, our adventurers listened: today, the Illocutionary
Force heads to the Bounding Node, home of the Scarlet WHich!
What dangers await them? What is the dastardly Scarlet
WHich plotting within her bizarre lair? Will one of our
adventurers be seriously injured in this chapter (hint: yes)?

A snippet from the latest chapter to whet your appetites:

"'Thank goodness the world has stopped falling apart around
our ears for a moment,' groaned Proto Baggins. 'I'm getting
too old to be gallavanting about nonstop, saving the entire
ungrateful world. I haven't had a moment to spend with my
macrofamily in weeks.'

Professor P. patted Proto's hand sympathetically. 'I know
what you mean. Lately I've been so stressed that I'm afraid
I might start to geminate.'

The Force spent a pleasant few minutes laughing,
commiserating, and feasting. But, like most pleasant times
recently, it was cut short by a bloodcurdling noise..."

Oh, horrors! What could that bloodcurdling noise be? Head to
the Saga page to read Chapter Five and find out:

Happy reading,

501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax
return (U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site,
or contact your financial advisor.

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a
simple administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to
LINGUIST, without costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if
your company operates such a program.

Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
