Meeting Description:

Noam Chomsky will be given a PhD degree Honoris Causa at SISSA (Trieste, Italy), on September 17, 2012, and will deliver a lecture entitled 'Minimalism and Language Acquisition'.
 

This event will be followed, on September 18 and 19, by Cognitive Modules & Interfaces Workshop on different fields of Cognitive Sciences with the following invited speakers: Luca Bonatti (ICREA and Pompeu Fabra Univ. Barcelona), Stanislas Dehaene (College de France and Neurospin, Sacley), Luciano Fadiga (Univ. of Ferrara and Italian Institute of Technology), Lila Gleitman (Univ. of Pennsylvania), Isabelle Peretz (BRAMS/CRBLM
Univ. of Montreal), Constance Scharff (Freie Universitat Berlin) and Dan Sperber (CEU, Budapest).
 

Call for Papers:

Students and post-docs are invited to submit an abstract for a poster to: marijana at sissa.it. The 
abstracts will be evaluated by a group of reviewers. The authors of the best four abstracts will be invited to give a 15-20 minute lecture during the workshop.
