Description:

The Institut für Linguistik: Anglistik at the University of Stuttgart is
looking for a part-time lecturer in English Linguistics
(wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in, 50% TV-L 13). The position is permanent.

The teaching load is 4.5 hours per term, including "Phonetic Practice" and
introductory linguistics courses. The successful candidate is expected to
develop a curriculum for "Phonetic Practice" as a Blended Learning course
for students in the B.Ed. Programme (Lehramt). Furthermore, s/he will be in
charge of administrative tasks related to quality assurance in teaching. 

Requirements for the post are a PhD or M.A. in English linguistics or a
similar suitable qualification, together with native competence in English.
Experience in undergraduate teaching would be an advantage. Qualification
towards a doctoral degree in the area of experimental phonology or second
language acquisition (phonology) is encouraged. Additional funding is
currently being explored.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who can work independently,
but will also enjoy being part of our team. The candidate should have a
professional working proficiency in German or is expected to acquire it
within two years.
