Provalis Research is a Canadian company that specializes in developing and marketing text analytics tools combining qualitative analysis (QDA Miner 4.0) with content analysis and text-mining (WordStat 6.1).

It can be used on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Mac

It's a shareware software and we charge by concurrent user. We have 3 categories of prices: Commercial prices,Governmental/NGO's prices and Academic prices.

Here is a summary for single user licenses (perpetual and annual lease): Academic: from $590 to $1165 (lease available at $198 to $388 per year). Governmental/NGOs: from $1295 to $3350 (lease available at $431 to $1116 per year). Commercial: $2195 to $5675 (lease available at $731 to $1891 per year)

Provalis Research software products are used by more than 2,000 institutions including: Universities, Governments and NGOs, and Businesses.

Document importation: ANSI and Unicode text files, MS Word,
WordPerfect, RTF and HTML, PDF.
Image file importation: JPG, PNG, BMP, WMF.
Data base importation: Excel, Access, Paradox, dBase, SPSS,
NVivo, N6, Atlas.ti, Transana, Transcriber, Reference Information System, as well as any other database with ODBC drivers
Others: A document conversion wizard can extract records and
data from any document files, including XML, Blog entries, Email logs, Lexis-Nexis output, etc.
