Meeting Description:

The 'VI Encuentro de Gramática Generativa' in memory of Ma.Adriana Álvarez, which will be held in General Roca (Patagonia, Argentina) on August 8, 9 and 10, 2013, is organized by the Maestría en Lingüística of the Facultad de Lenguas (Universidad Nacional del Comahue).

The main objective is to foster the discussion of salient issues related to grammar from different formal models, as well as to establish a place for specialists to meet and exchange ideas. The 2013 edition will include a workshop on Teaching and Learning. This workshop will be coordinated by María Adela García Álvarez, Analía Castro y Silvina Rodríguez.   

The EGG6 will offer only plenary sessions; no parallel sessions will be held. Each presentation will last thirty minutes, followed by ten additional minutes for questions. The official languages are Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Call for Papers:

Submissions are invited for papers in any field related to the formal study of grammar (Syntax, Morphology, Phonology, Semantics, Lexical Theory, Interfaces, Language Acquisition, Philosophy of Language). Grammatical descriptions within any explicit and formal framework are welcome. 

Selection for presentation will be based on the abstracts submitted which are to be sent before 15 March 2013. Abstracts should include a theoretical framework, hypotheses and the objectives of the presentation. Abstracts should be no longer than two pages, including references and examples, with margins of at least 1-inch, 12pt Times New Roman. By 30 April, participants will be informed if their presentations have been accepted.

The papers presented should be innovative contributions in the fields of linguistic theory and/or their grammatical description, from different theoretical models.
