The Centre for Language and Communication wishes to appoint a 
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to contribute to the design and development 
of modules in English language studies and applied linguistics. You 
will contribute initially to one of two undergraduate modules on 
'Language and creativity' or 'English grammar in context'.  The Centre 
has established a national and international reputation in the study of 
language in use, and pursues research which combines theoretical 
advancements with a strong commitment to practical applications.  It 
takes a broadly socio-cultural and interdisciplinary approach to the 
study of English/language. Academic staff are members of the 
Language and Literacy research cluster within the Centre for Research 
in Education and Educational Technology. 

You will be interested in making a contribution to a department with a 
strong research culture and a commitment to high quality teaching.  
You must have good planning and organisational skills and be 
interested in the role of information and communications technology 
for teaching and learning.
