Full Title: International Journal of Language Studies (IJLS)

Call Deadline: 15-Jan-2013

Dear Colleague:

Would you please see if you want to write a full-length critical review or state-of-the-art paper for IJLS series of special issues (starting from April 2013)? Here are some of the acceptable themes:

- Computer-mediated communication
- Multimodal communication
- Learner/Teacher beliefs
- Multiple Intelligences
- Materials evaluation
- Gender studies
- Teacher/Learner identity studies
- Foreign/second language classroom-centered research
- Foreign/second language classroom action research
- Foreign language motivation research
- Foreign language classroom anxiety research
- Second/Foreign language learner/teacher factors
- Language skills (teaching/learning) research
- Recast and feedback in language classes
- Metaphor studies
- Translation studies
- Bilingualism and multilingualism
- Language planning and policies
- Conversation analysis
- Corpus linguistics
- Discourse analysis and pragmatics
- Critical discourse analysis
- Deaf linguistics
- Forensic linguistics
- Lexicography

- Rhetoric and stylistics

You may want to title you paper as 'A Synopsis of Research on . . .' or 'Current Trends in Research on . . .' (where . . . stands for any of the previously listed topics; e.g., 'A Synopsis of Research on Conversation Analysis' or 'Current Trends in Research on Sociolinguistics').

Please see the papers published in the journal Annual Review of Applied Linguistics; they are more or less the kind of papers IJLS seeks to solicit, peer-review, and publish (if accepted). Should you decide to write a paper for IJLS, I strongly recommend that you observe the following points:

- Cite a minimum of 3 papers from IJLS issues published in years 2010 and 2011.
- If possible, also cite a minimum of 2 papers from IJLS issues published in year 2012.
- Follow APA Editorial Style.
- Your paper is as comprehensive as it can get.
- I must receive your manuscript at both ijls.editors at yahoo.com and contact at ijls.net.
- Your paper, references included, must be 25 to 35 single-spaced A4 pages long (Times New Roman set at 12pt with 2.5 cm margins on all side).
- Make sure you cite at least a minimum of 50 recent sources (the more the better).

For more details about the author guidelines, please see this link: http://www.ijls.net/basic_pdf/writingreviews.pdf

It is important to note that submission of a manuscript does not mean its acceptance, and all the submissions we receive will undergo strict doubly-masked peer review by three members of IJLS Board of Reviewers.

Thank you very much.
