Call for Workshop Proposals

Chronos is a series of conferences dedicated to current research on the
morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics of markers of actionality,
tense, aspect and modality. The Chronos conferences welcome presentations from
scholars who approach linguistic research from different perspectives and
embrace different theoretical frameworks.

Proposals are invited for a half-day workshop (3 ½ hours, max. 7
presentations). Topics should match those identified in the general call for
participation.

Workshops provide an occasion for presenting research in a less formal and
more focused way than in the main conference. The format of each workshop is
to be determined by the organizers, but it is expected that it will contain
time for general discussion and engagement by all participants. Workshops may
include small panels of experts, provided at least some slots are left for
free proposals selection. Workshops organisers will be involved in the papers
selection process.

All presentations will be delivered in English or in French.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions describing proposed workshops should include:
1. Theme and purpose.
2. Planned activities and a tentative schedule of events.
3. Names of organizers.

The submission should include a short biographical sketch for each organizer,
describing relevant qualifications and experience.

Workshop organizers are asked to submit their proposal (max. 1000 words) as
.pdf files using the following website:

https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=chronos11

Important dates
- June 15th, 2013: Deadline for workshop proposals.
- July 10th, 2013: Notification of acceptance.
- From November 1, 2013: Involvement of workshop organizers in the selection
of papers.
- Mid-January, 2014: Notification of acceptance of selected papers.

https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=chronos11

Dates importantes
papiers.
- Mid-January, 2014: Notification d’acceptation des papiers sélectionnés.
