Meeting Description:

Following 3 successful meetings, the Centro de Estudos de Linguística Geral e Aplicada (CELGA) is happy to announce the 4th EPGL (Post-Graduate Linguistics Meeting). This meeting is an opportunity for Masters and PhD researchers from all over the world to present the results of their work and its goal is to promote dialogue between different subdisciplines and theoretical frameworks. An invited specialist (to be announced) will present an inaugural conference. 

The meeting will take place in Coimbra, at the oldest university of Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe. Located in central Portugal, the participants may easily arrive by train or by bus, departing from Lisbon or Oporto airports. 

Call for Papers:

Submissions are encouraged in a variety of subfields of linguistics. Authors must send abstracts with a text not exceeding 400 words to: celga.epg at fl.uc.pt. Abstracts will be accepted until 15 July 2013.
 
Abstracts should be followed by the relevant bibliography and must clearly state:

- Title
- Key words: include 3-5 key words
- Background and objectives
- Methods 
- Results and Conclusions

Format:

- Times New Roman, 12pt
- Vertical spacing of 1,5 between lines
- Margins (left, right, top and bottom) of 2.5 cm
- Word (doc)

Authors should send 2 copies of their abstract: one of them anonymous and the other with the following information:

- Author’s name
- Post-graduation level
- Affiliation
- Email address 

Each presenter is allowed 20 minutes to present the paper followed by 10 minutes for discussion.

Abstracts can be written and presentations can be given in any of the following languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English and French.

Requirements:

- Only the abstracts of master and PhD projects (research in progress or completed) will be accepted.
- The paper must be original.
- In case of co-authoring with supervisors, the presentation will be conducted by the post-graduate.

Important Dates:

15 July: Deadline for abstract submission
30 September: Announcement of the results
