Meeting Description:

The department of linguistics of the University of Leipzig is pleased to announce the 28th Comparative Germanic Syntax Workshop. CGSW 28 continues a long tradition of bringing together researchers in Germanic syntax for fruitful and constructive interaction.

Theresa Biberauer (University of Cambridge)
Eric Fuß (IDS Mannheim)
Kyle Johnson (University of Massachusetts Amherst)

CGSW 28 (October 4-5) will be preceded by a workshop on Opacity in Grammar (October 3; http://conference.uni-leipzig.de/cgsw28), which will be announced separately.

Final Call for Papers:

We invite abstracts for thirty-minute talks (followed by ten minutes of discussion) on any aspect of comparative Germanic syntax, including diachronic syntax and the interface between syntax and other components of the grammar. 

Abstract Guidelines: 

Abstracts should not exceed two pages, including data, references and diagrams. Abstracts should be typed in at least 11-point font, with one-inch margins (letter-size; 8 1/2 by 11 or A4). Abstracts must be anonymous and submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author per workshop.
