The Linguistics Department of the RUB is offering a postdoc position in Computational Linguistics (TVL E-13). You should hold a doctorate (Dr or PhD) in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics or Computer Sciences (with a strong focus on Computational Linguistics). Moreover, your research profile should ideally show research activities in statistical language processing (e.g. parsing of corpus data, annotation mining, automatic extraction of semantic information) and the interaction between statistical and symbolic approaches to (computational) linguistics. Applicants should be prepared to initiate research projects and help enhance visibility of the Linguistics Department by means of publications and presentations in reviewed journals and at international conferences.
The position is available from 1 April 2014, on a full-time basis for a fixed-term period of 36 months.
Classes (in English or German) covering 4 semester periods per week (especially introductory courses in computational linguistics) are compulsory.
