Abstract:

Nachlassinventare eröffnen dem Sprachhistoriker zahlreiche Perspektiven für Analysen der Variation und Dynamik von Sprache. Die im Buch versammelten 308 Texte stammen aus dem Münsterland und geben detaillierte Einblicke in den lang andauernden und komplexen Prozess des Schreibsprachenwechsels vom Niederdeutschen zum Hochdeutschen. Darüber hinaus machen sie den Wandel von Textmustern, an denen sich Schreiber beim Verfassen und Leser beim Rezipieren der Texte orientieren, greifbar. Neben der Forschung kann auch der akademische Unterricht von der Textsammlung profitieren.
