Description:

The Department of Linguistics, in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, is accepting applications for a postdoctoral researcher in Morphology and/or Morphosyntax, with an anticipated start date of August 23, 2014. The initial appointment is for one-year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The position carries a teaching load of one course per semester.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Completed requirements for a Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Linguistics or a related field by start date of employment; evidence of a strong research/publication trajectory in morphology and/or morphosyntax; ability to teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate level; and active research interests integrating well with those of the Department’s current faculty members.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Evidence of excellence in research; a research profile that expands the linguistic and/or methodological diversity of the department; evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and advising; the ability to contribute through research, teaching, and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience. 

Appointment Terms: 
The successful candidate's primary academic appointment will be in the Department of Linguistics at the Storrs campus with the possibility of work at UConn’s regional campuses.
