Meeting Description:

This international conference on Knowledge-Innovation-Excellence: Synergy in Language Research and Practice highlights fresh interdisciplinary enquiry and explorations in language research and practice.

The conference aims to be a platform for interaction, exploration, examination, and comprehension of issues related to innovative knowledge on the relationship between people and language. It will be a gathering of experts, practitioners, researchers, writers and graduate students engaged in research in linguistics, literature, applied linguistics, languages and language education.

The exploration of the old, the new and the uncharted in the synergy between language research and practice is an on-going endeavour in this new world where borders between the physical and virtual are seamless and fluid. Moreover, events and conflicts around the world shape the ways in which we perceive, conceptualise and realise new forays into research, innovation and community engagements. The complex environment of traditional as well as virtual academia and the rigours of research have led to discoveries, contestations, and experience in the linguistic world. The expertise generated as a result of these research activities within language practice needs to be continuously shared through academic interactions and publications. Hence, this conference sets out to bring together language researchers and practitioners in a bid to seek knowledge, innovation and excellence.

Objectives:

- To bring together local and international scholars, writers and practitioners to share their research experience and findings
- To address issues arising from new knowledge, innovation and excellence in language studies
- To provide a platform for discourse between the local and the global
