Meeting Description:

We are happy to announce that the 44th Poznan Linguistic Meeting (PLM2013) will take place on 29 August-1 September 2013, in Poznan, Poland. The Meeting will be organised by the Faculty of English of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. The venue of PLM2013 will be Collegium Maius (http://goo.gl/OHvSQ http://goo.gl/L14eJ http://goo.gl/Mz14n), a beautiful Neo-baroque building in the city centre. 

Leitmotif:

The leitmotif of the 44th PLM will be ‘Complexity Invariance in Linguistics: Evidence and Challenges.’

We invite abstracts for posters and oral presentations at the general session (both related and unrelated to our leitmotif: complexity invariance in linguistics) and also abstracts for oral presentation at two thematic sessions:

- The Internal and External Syntax of Nominal Expressions (convened by Katarzyna Miechowicz-Mathiasen and Jacek Witkoś, Adam Mickiewicz University)
- Mysteries of the Mono- and Multilingual Mind: Its Complex Storage and Processing Structures (convened by Anna B. Cieślicka and Roberto R. Heredia, Texas A&M University - International)

and one satellite session:

- Recent Work in the Sociolinguistics of the Celtic Languages (convened by Karolina Rosiak, Adam Mickiewicz University)

Publication:

Selected papers from PLM2013 will be published in the first volume of the Yearbook of the Poznan Linguistic Meeting. This new yearbook will be published in an open-access model by Versita, a leading Central European publisher of scholarly journals. The publication will be assigned an ISSN number, and will be indexed by the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citations Index.
