Description:

Luther College invites applications for a Visiting Instructor or Assistant
Professor of Linguistics, a one-semester leave replacement position beginning
in late August 2013.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in linguistics, or in French with a
specialization in linguistics; ABD acceptable (instructor rank). The teaching
load will be three courses in Fall 2013, including Linguistics 131
(Introduction to Linguistics); either Linguistics 220 (Phonetics and
Phonology), Linguistics 133 (Introduction to Syntax), or Linguistics 241
(Second Language Acquisition); and a third course dependent on the candidate’s
areas of expertise. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in
teaching introductory French language. The salary will be commensurate with
academic qualifications and professional experience.

describing current teaching and research interests, curriculum vitae, three
letters of recommendation, and unofficial graduate and undergraduate
