Meeting Description:

The Italian Department of the University of Cambridge is very happy to announce that the 7th Cambridge Italian Dialect Syntax-Morphology Meeting will take place at the University of Cambridge on 24-25 June 2013. The meeting aims to bring together dialectologists working on any aspect of the syntax and/or morphology of the dialects of Italy (including non-Romance varieties such as Germanic, Greek, Slavonic, and Albanian varieties) and encourages all approaches - whether synchronic or diachronic, descriptive or theoretical (all frameworks) - to the regional languages and dialects spoken throughout Italy. The invited speakers for CIDSM 7 are:

Eva Maria Remberger (University of Vienna)

Registration Details:

Those who are interested in attending the meeting, whether presenting a paper or not, should send an email to anl21 at cam.ac.uk by Friday 14 June to register (there will be a minimal registration fee of £5, payable at the conference, to cover the costs of refreshments). There will also be a conference dinner on the evening of Monday 24 June at one of the Cambridge colleges (if you wish to attend, please send an email to anl21 at cam.ac.uk by Friday 31 May). Call for Papers:

Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) on any aspect of the syntax and/or morphology of the dialects of Italy. The conference languages are English and Italian (although English is preferred). Abstracts must be sent to anl21 at cam.ac.uk by no later than 15 April 2013. Speakers will be notified of the results of their abstract review by 29 April.

Authors are asked to submit their abstracts as an email attachment (pdf format). Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author. The abstract should include the title, but not the author’s name(s). The title of the paper, name of the author(s), affiliation(s), address, phone number, and email address should be included in the email message. Abstracts should be no longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point type.
