Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University invites applications
for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Phonology, for the 2013/2014 academic
year.

The responsibilities of the position include teaching a 2-3 load, with courses
at both the graduate and undergraduate level.  The successful candidate will
be able to teach introductory courses in general linguistics, phonetics, and
phonology, as well as advanced courses in her or his areas of specialization.
Applicants with research interests in morphophonology, the lexicon, L1
acquisition, or formal models are especially encouraged to apply.

The appointment will start on August 1, 2013. Applicants must have completed
all requirements for the PhD degree by the time of the appointment.

Note:  the Georgetown Linguistics Department is seeking to fill two positions
for AY 2013/14, one is a Visiting assistant Professor in Phonology and the
other is a Post Doc in Computational Linguistics.  Applicants should clearly

interested in and qualified for both positions do not need to submit separate
applications, but should indicate their dual expertise and interest in the
cover letter and in statements of research and teaching.
