Hi Folks,

I have received the following query from one of my students. I lack the
knowledge to answer the question. If you have any answer or readings I could
direct him to, I would appreciate it.
Elizabeth Winkler

Dr. Winkler,

Would you happen to know what computational linguists have to say on the
Transmitter vs. Receiver Oriented language topic? For example, is there a
structural difference between the two that is detectable by algorithm?

Also, how well do humans differentiate the two? How well do speakers of
different languages do so?

Just wondering,

Bryan Knowles
